Happy New Year! This is my very first post to my brand new blogsite, which, by the way, I swore I would never do! Here goes! I think this is a great way to stay connected with my spirited stampin' friends! We'll see how I do. I wish you the best in 2008 and I hope I can inspire you to do some stampin' in your free time!

- I am a wife, mother and elementary school teacher. I teach Reading Recovery, which is an intervention for first grade students who are at risk of not learning to read. I tutor eight students each day and they do learn to read! I have a new home-based business. I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the summer of 2007. I have been stamping for 10 years and love the relaxation that comes with concentrating on my craft. My husband, Dwaine, is my business consultant! My daughter, Christa, is a student at the University of Maryland. My son, Robbie, is 16 and has recently received his driver's license. My friends, Linda and Sheree, have been teaching me how to lead a spiritual life. I am learning about yoga, Reiki, the Tao, Soul Collage and, most of all, Jesus. We started a group called Spirit and Self Discovery to bring opportunities to relax, restore and rejuvenate to our church community. I am a card carrying left wing, bleeding heart liberal democrat and I can not tolerate war.
